Join us for a very special evening in the company of Dana Masters, Manukahunney and Winnie Ama to celebrate the remarkable voice, legacy and influence of Ottilie Patterson.
Ottilie was born 1932 in Comber, she was a genuine pioneer and widely acclaimed as the greatest white blues singer of them all. In the mid-1950s, she was discovered by the famous The Chris Barber Blues Band and joined them in London as their lead singer. Several tours on both sides of the Atlantic followed which saw her perform with Blues legends including Muddy Waters, Big Bill Broonzy, Howlin’ Wolf and Rosetta Tharpe.
